Information about visiting us during COVID-19

Autumnal days at Baylham House Farm It is always a pleasure to visit the farm and this year you’re going to be able to do so for even longer.  Not many visitors know what goes on at Baylham as the days get shorter so this year we’re giving you the opportunity to come and find out.  Wrap up warm and dry, stick your wellies on and come and have a wander. Come and see the breeding groups of sheep with their rams getting ready for lambs next Easter, the billy goats with the nannys for kids in May.  The yard will gradually fill with the pigs and cattle coming in to their winter quarters so you can get close and personal with all your favourite animals. After the October half term, from 2ndNovember, the farm will be open from 10am to 4pm, Friday to Sunday until further notice.
Halloween Half Term Fun
October half term update-
To ensure we can offer a covid secure day out and work environment we have taken the decision to do Halloween a bit differently this year.
Unfortunately we are not able to offer pumpkin carving or our spooky games area. We will however have a spooky themed quiz, with a small gift as a prize, as well as a few Halloween themed games around the farm.
As ever each child will receive a free bag of animal food upon entry.
Normal entry prices apply, no need to book in advance and we would ask that all visitors please follow the government guidelines and do not visit if you are feeling unwell.
Our shop and cafe remain closed so we are only able to offer hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks, for takeaway only.  There is seating outside and some under cover so if you wish to eat while you are here please bring a picnic. We are not able to offer our close animal encounters, such as goat grooming, to avoid clustering of visitors but you are still able to meet and feed all our animals and if you are lucky you may meet Suzanne's piglets as they wander the farm. We have, though, improved access around the lake in the form of a new nature trail which we hope you will enjoy. We look forward to welcoming you back. Thank you! Baylham House Farm

Throughout the Easter holidays we've been running a selfie competition on the farm via our social media networks.  Visitors have been taking a selfie of themselves with any of our Baylham animals, and posting their best picture to our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages using the hash tag #BaylhamSelfie. We are going to announce the winner of the competition on Monday 13th April here on our blog. The winner will receive a season pass entitling them to free entry to the farm for a year. We've received a fantastic number of selfies - thank you to everyone who has shared their pictures with us.  Due to the number of selfies we are unable to post them all on the blog, but you will find a selection below.  To see all of the pictures please visit any of our social media channels or search #BaylhamSelfie. The Start of Spring

We are approaching our favourite time of year on the farm: lambing season.  This is not just because we love our new arrivals, but because they mark the start of spring and the beginning of our 2015 season. It feels like it has been a long winter and now that the days are getting longer we are looking forward to welcoming our visitors back to our new-look farm. You will have noticed that our website has a totally new look. It’s packed with information all about the farm, including what we do, how you can get involved and the special events that are going on. We hope that you like the look of it and that you’ll find it easy to use. The website is not the only part of the farm that’s had a face lift. A lot has been going on whilst we have been closed for the winter months; we’ve been making the most of the time by making improvements all over the farm.  We’ve been painting, tidying, fixing and generally sprucing up all the areas, including the café. Our opening kicks off with the most popular activity we offer: lamb cuddling. This is an experience that all children (and their parents) remember for ever, so cameras are essential. Our new-borns are so well behaved and affectionate, it’s an occasion not to be missed. As always, we have piglets galore and we’re hoping for baby bunnies too.  You’ll have many chances throughout the week to help feed the pigs and goats and collect the eggs from the chickens. If this isn’t enough, the Baylham Farm treasure hunt is back with clues to take you around the farm and prizes to be won.  For the first weekend, all visitors can come to the farm for only £3 per person. As of the 14th of February, we will be open as usual until September. You can look at our opening times but make sure you note the dates for our Easter Speggtacular and the Naked Sheep Festival. We’re really looking forward to welcoming everybody back to the farm for 2015 and hope to see you here soon.
