Lamb Cuddling at Half Term

18 sets of twins and 6 sets of triplets due!

We have thrown open the doors to start the 2016 season off, with plenty of lambs to meet and cuddle.  Regular visitors will know that each February Half Term, we offer our visitors the opportunity to meet and cuddle our newborn lambs.  This year the farm, which is dedicated to the preservation of rare breeds, is expecting an unprecedented number of multiple births.  A good lambing percentage is around 180% but this time we are expecting one of 225%.

In addition to all the new born lambs, we’ve also had a litter of piglets born to our Large Black Ella last week & fellow Large Black Nina is due to have another litter any time this week.  There may even be the opportunity for visitors to see both lambs and the piglets being born.

The farm will also be offering unique, hands on, animal encounters with visitors being able to meet, feed and cuddle Mr T, Diblet and Woolly the sheep, as well as Grace, Boy George and Gwendolyn the Golden Guernsey Goats.  The Bunny Barn will also be open, with the Baylham Bunnies on hand for cuddles and photo opportunities.

As well as plenty of animals to meet and feed, the farm also has a variety of play areas, as well as a den building activity.  For grown-ups, you can relax in the café with a light lunch or one of the delicious homemade cakes.

The farm is open every day, except for Mondays, from 10am – 5pm.
