Preparations are in full swing this week for the run up to our annual Festival of the Naked Sheep being held this Bank Holiday, 29th May. The Festival of the Naked Sheep celebrates shearing and all things wool related, with lots of demonstrations taking place through out the day, there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved.
As well as live shearing demonstrations with Shepherdess Kate, there will be all the usual activities which include; meeting and feeding all of our rare breeds as well as saying hello to our latest arrivals. The Festival of the Naked Sheep is sure to be a fun-filled day out for the whole family.
There will also be demonstrations from a number of skilled spinners, felters, dyers and weavers who will all be attending the event, allowing you to learn about the fleece and all its amazing uses. There will be plenty of opportunity to have a go yourself, including the chance to roll a fleece and try your hand at felting.
To finish the day off don’t forget to sample something from Baylham’s delicious barbecue and enjoy a cold drink from our locally stocked bar. Opening Times: 10am – 5pm, normal admission prices apply and under 4’s go FREE.
